Commissioned in March 2006, the mini hydro power plant isdriven by two high-performance VA Tech Hydro Pelton units.

Lakdhanavi is currently undertaking the Operations and Maintenance activities of the power plant under the long term O&M Contract signed upto the SPPA expiry in October 2025, which is expected to be extended upto a further 15 years.
