Commissioned in March 2013 powered by twelve high-performance 850 kW Gamesa turbines, Pawandhanavi was one of the first wind farms to be developed in Sri Lanka, paving way for the country to harness the available wind resources to meet its growing electrcity demand.
Lakdhanavi is currently undertaking the Operations and Maintenance activities of the power plant under the long term O&M Contract signed upto the SPPA expiry in March 2033.
